SEASHELL CS4141 table by Calligaris

The design challenge of the Seashell table starts from the use of a new material for the base: concrete.
SEASHELL CS4141 Calligaris concrete table with a glass or ceramic top. Seashell is a table inspired by nature, specifically the sinuous spirals of a shell, a fragile yet extremely complex element. The design challenge was to use a material that is the exact opposite for the table base: concrete. The result is a highly expressive table, the absolute protagonist.
Concrete thus acquires a new formal and functional language; the central base offers maximum usability and, depending on the vantage point, transforms and generates other forms. A marriage of inspiration and functionality, lightness and strength, a highly expressive table, an everyday object transformed into a minimalist, sculptural figure to be displayed.
